Ingredients
  • 2 apples, cored and sliced into ¼” thick wedges
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp + ½ cup Nature Nate’s Raw and Unfiltered Honey
  • 2 sheets puffed pastry, thawed

Directions

Preheat oven to 375ºF.

Place sliced apple wedges into a medium bowl with boiling water, lemon juice and 2 Tbsp honey. Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes until softened. If desired, speed up the process by microwaving for 3-5 minutes.

With a sharp knife, cut puffed pastry into 2” strips. Place apple slices along the top half of each strip, overlapping each slice slightly. Fold bottom half of puffed pastry strip up. Roll up gently to create the “rose”. Place rolled roses into a nonstick Texas muffin tin.

Drizzle remaining ½ cup of honey atop roses.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before removing from tin.  Serve warm.

Flavor Twist: If desired, sprinkle apple slices and puffed pastry with cinnamon before rolling into roses.
