Ingredients
- 78 liters warm water
- 1 fresh turkey
- 250 mL Nature Nate’s 100% Pure, Raw & Unfiltered Honey
- 125 mL Kosher salt
- 125 mL soy sauce
- 15 mL fresh rosemary
- 15 mL fresh parsley
- 15 mL fresh sage
- 15 mL fresh thyme
- 15 mL onion powder
- 125 mL butter
Directions
Place all ingredients but turkey and butter in a large, deep bowl. Whisk until all ingredients are well-combined. Place turkey in the bowl, making sure it is immersed. If the liquid does not cover the entire bird, make another batch of brine and add it.
Cover and refrigerate for two hours. Rotate the bird in the bowl and refrigerate for two more hours. This process ensures even brining. The turkey can remain in the brine for up to six hours.
When ready to roast, remove the turkey from the brine and rinse it well. Place in a roasting pan and follow instructions appropriate for the size of the turkey, basting with melted butter every 30 minutes.
