Nate Ups His Honey Game during “Bee Well” Season

When sniffle season hits, Nate has even more reasons to open the honey bottle (as if he needed them!). First, honey offers natural, nutritional benefits with its sweetness that you just can’t get with processed sugar. Second, honey is an effective alternative to cough syrup, and research shows it’s even better for kids. (As always, please remember that honey is only safe for kids older than one year.) And finally, honey is an easy go-to sweetener in drinks from coffee and tea to vitamin-rich smoothies and slushies.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 whole orange (leave peeling on but remove seeds)
  • 1/4 cup orange juice (squeezed fresh)
  • 2-3 Tbsp Nature Nate’s pure honey
  • 6-8 ice cubes
  • Orange zest

Directions:

Place all but orange zest in blender. Puree until smooth. Garnish with zest and a drizzle of honey. It’s just that simple, so serve immediately and enjoy!
