Creamy Crock-Pot Ziti

We love ziti. We love creamy sauce. What could make that pasta combination better? Hello slow cooker! Not only will you be happy with this one-pot wonder but let your latest pasta craze begin.

Ingredients

For the pasta:

  • 1 pound Ziti
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup aged Gouda or Sharp White Cheddar, shredded

For the sauce:

  • 6 cups milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons Nature Nate’s pure honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion (optional)


Directions

Butter sides of a large crockpot or use a liner to avoid sticking. Set crockpot to a high setting. Layer pasta and cheeses in the crockpot. Whisk together all of your sauce ingredients in a bowl until well-combined. Pour over pasta and cheese. Cover and allow to cook for one hour. Stir pasta and cook for an additional hour. Stir pasta once more and cook for 30 minutes. Serve hot with optional green onions.
