These super fast pickles last a couple of weeks in the refrigerator. They have a nice golden hue from a dash of turmeric.

If you want to slice a Vidalia onion into the mix, it will pickle nicely! Okra and summer squash also do well in the turmeric bath.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2/3 cups white wine vinegar
- 2/3 cups Nature Nate’s Raw & Unfiltered Georgia Honey
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 4-6 cloves garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 large English cucumber
- 2 large carrots (long)
Directions
Combine all but carrots and cucumber in a medium sauce pan.
Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
While cooling, slice cucumber and carrots in very long and thin slices with a carrot peeler. Place them in two pint jars.
Pour the cooled liquid until the vegetables are completely covered.
Keep in refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Makes about 2 pints.
