Sweet Potato and Honey Trail Mix

Savory spices, sweet honey and a delicious mix of dried fruit, nuts, granola and sweet potato chips make up this tasty trail mix. Easy to take on the go, this snack is sure to become a favourite.

Ingredients

1/3 cup shelled pistachios

1/3 cup raw whole pecans

1/3 cup raw cashews

1/2 cup dried cherries

1 cup granola

4 cups sweet potato chips

1/2 cup Nature Nate’s Raw & Unfiltered Honey

3/4 teaspoon garlic salt

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1/2 teaspoon fresh-ground pepper



Directions

In a large bowl, toss together pistachios, pecans, cashews, cherries, granola and sweet potato chips. Set aside. In a large saucepan, heat honey over medium-high heat, stirring until mixture reaches 245 degrees or firm ball stage. Remove from stove and stir in spices. Drizzle honey over nut mixture. Toss nut mixture until well coated with honey. Allow to cool before serving. Store in airtight container.

Note: If preferred, trail mix can be baked instead of cooked on the stovetop. Toss all ingredients in 1/4 cup of honey and spread on parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake until golden brown.
